STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING FOR COACHES
ASDC – Capital Region believes the probability of transfer to athletic performance is highly dependent on the degree to which training replicates athletic performance. The first step in deriving benefits of training specificity is, therefore, a comprehensive needs analysis (Gamble, P., 2006).
As a Strength and Conditioning (S&C) Staff at ASDC (Capitol Region), we feel that an initial Biomechanical or Physiological needs analysis is often best compiled through a scientifically based testing protocol and the assistance of the athlete’s nationally accredited skills coach, who possesses a strong understanding of mechanical and metabolic specificity.
The quality of an athlete’s training has been considered one of the most critical determinants to optimal performance (Voight, M., 2006). As a S & C Staff at ASDC (Capitol Region) we will utilize theoretical and practical work from numerous disciplines (e.g., Exercise Physiology, Pedagogy, Motor Learning, Etc.) to evaluate and enhance your athletes quality of motivation, energy levels, drive, concentration and sport specific motor patters / physiology through the creation of a training environment that is goal oriented and focused on fostering a quality attitude, quality preparation, quality execution and quality control.
Please contact us for more information pertaining to strength and conditioning.
