Strength and Conditioning for Physical Educators

The core of any good Strength and Conditioning program includes a scientifically based program design and periodization model including-sets, load, order of exercise, choice of exercise, rest periods and time under tension.

At ASDC Capitol Region (ASDC-CR) we also feel that it is equally important for an athlete to work with an instructor who is enthusiastic, demonstrates leadership qualities, provides positive reinforcement, is sensitive to individual differences (critical sensitive learning periods), and has an understanding of how to deliver information within the psychomotor, cognitive and personal social domains.

In order to enhance the delivery of our content during training sessions, we utilize many instructional teaching methods and templates found within the study of Pedagogy.  Such Instructional Methods and Templates include: B.A.G.S, Task Analysis, I.T.I.P Lesson Plans, Block Plans, Individually Prescribed Instruction, and the development of Stage Appropriate Content Expectations / Objectives.
