Pillars of Support

The ASDC – Capital Region will consist of four pillars of service; these pillars were developed in consultation and collaboration with the Canadian Sport Centre – Calgary and other ASDC centres.

Performance Programs

Programs are designed to complement or enhance current sport science & sport medicine services for identified athletes within our regions. The Athlete Enhancement Program (AEP) will be offered based on regional needs. The Athlete Enhancement Program will be a heavily subsidized structured sport science support program that looks to capture junior national or identified provincial level athletes who have been tagged as the next generation of Olympic hopefuls.

Performance Services

Services designed to support athletes & coaches who are not supported through our Performance Programs (AEP). Athletes can be of club, provincial, and or national level within their sport. All services are provided as a fee for service.

Winning Edge Seminars

Services are designed to educate and support all athletes, coaches, parents and administrators in a variety of topics related to personal development. These services are to ensure our members are developing as people, not just athletes.

Coach Development

Services offered will focus on the education and support coaches need to advance their knowledge and understanding of athlete development based on the Long Term Athlete Development framework.
